Studio 71

Milan. Mantero Associati has designed the new Milan office of global media company Studio 71. The project
transforms a traditional ground floor office space in a city center building into a smart coworking space designed for digital entrepreneurs. The rooms reflect the company’s core business and have a young and smart feel.
At the main entrance, visitors are welcomed by an informal lounge with armchairs and timeless furnishings, and a kitchen area that makes the environment convivial and welcoming. A wall covered in raw wood with the LED sign CREATE stands out, dividing the entrance from the work area. Behind it is a smart coworking space with a large shared table, workstations, two spaces dedicated to individual work, two closed offices, and a multifunctional space. The use of color is precise and delimits and highlights the spaces thanks to bright shades such as green for the closed phone booth, purple for the open one, and yellow for the chairs and lamps of the coworking table.
Although the environment is open-plan, it has some boundaries that give it character and visual and acoustic protection, such as the entrance wall, the bookcase between the work areas, and the glass walls. The white false ceiling made of sound-absorbing material ensures excellent acoustic control in the environment.
